FADING COLORS (CorMerum Style Showcase)
Some time ago I was assigned to create, alongside to classmates, an original story for an animated short.
We created "Fading Colors", the story of Lila, a girl with depression that was being aided by her best friend: Cyan.
Our concept was that, in lack of voices, we would use saturation of color as a way to convey emotions. Every character had to be defined by a color scheme, so we could animate them as such.

CHARACTER SHEET
Lila, the protagonist.
Her life hasn´t been a fairy tale. Raised by her grandma after her parents died on a car accident. Suffers a strong depression which makes her stay days or weeks on bed.

Cyan, Lila´s best friend.
An optimist whose life hasn´t been candy and rainbows either, but he has the courage to put himself together to help his BF!

Navy was supposed to be Cyan´s mother. On the original cut of the script, Lila was going to look for her friend at his house, only to find out via his mom that he committed suicide.

Crimson, another boy who suffers depression and attends Cyan and Lila´s talks.

Moss is Crimson´s boyfriend, attends the talks as well to improve their relationship.
